I’m so ecstatic that I’ve found this drama, I can compare it to one of my cake eating experience… You’re drooling over the cake in front of you…. You’re excited coz you know its cake… with its color and flavor… your taste bud is already rejoicing because it already knew what will happen next when It enters your mouth… well nothing… just..YUM YUM YUM! … and then something happened inside your mouth while chewing your cake…mmmm….there are more bursting chocolates inside…underneath the cake is a thick layer of choco chips without you knowing it….that’s why I will remember eating that cake for the rest of my  life coz it gave me more than what I expected. So that’s how it is with this drama… my experience is something like that.

I was excited to view this because of the title…ow its Reply 1997… what is this??? More about 1997???? I don’t spoil myself by reading anything before watching anything whether movies or dramas (what I usually do) that’s why, with the feeling of excitement (coz I belong to 90’s generation) I just started watching.
The maker of this drama… the writer or director and everyone else who made this are truly brilliant… WOW…. While watching… I keep on asking myself… how did they shoot this?… the present (2012) first?... and then they just shoot back and forth….coz this drama is full of flashbacks…back to their past…back to the present  again…back to the past… back to their present again… showing the connections between their past to their present lives…. I know its kinda complex…That’s why its genius..coz they did that with this drama without me having the headache of watching it. In fact, I enjoyed every single bit of it…. So clap clap clap to you brilliant makers.
The story of this drama is really simple… story goes around the lives of 6 teenagers… the story of their high school life adventures…their friendships, family bondage, dreams, career, love and a lot more..simple coz this really happens in real life… actually, its super nostalgic.. since I’m from this generation too.

Though the story is simple but like what I’ve said..the difference of this drama with other dramas out there is the execution. It’s really a Laugh out loud drama using only normal conversations.
It was really fun to watch how  Sung Shi-won (Jung Eun-Ji) live her high school life... she will do anything for her Idol..and its really crazy…hilarious…childish but serious…I was crying while laughing in the part where she wrote the name of Tony(her ultimate idol) with her own blood…hahahha…

The “ friendships” part were also great and fun to watch….ow those innocent days…you eat in the school canteen together…go to events together…fight and then make up...hihihi I missed high school because of this drama.

The love stories inside this drama were great too… its innocent and sweet since its young love.
The actors played their roles super great …its like I’m not watching but is really there and is involved with all their lives. And since the ending point of this drama is of whom Shi-won will be ending up marrying with, well this made me more hooked and more focused.

I give this drama 5 ramen. I was hooked and got addicted with each episode, I was so entertained, I had lots of laugh (most with tears)…I had nostalgia of my high school life…my friends and crushes  hihihi and also hit songs and artists during that time here in my world (really feels good to go back). I’m super happy that the one I wanted to be with Shi-won is the one whom she’d ended up with…so its really a success for me. I really got more than what I expected so its really a memorable drama.
I’ve watched it already for the 3rd time now and I will surely be watching it again in the future.
Meeeeheeee…….
