I’m so ecstatic that I’ve found this drama, I can compare it to one of my cake eating experience… You’re drooling over the cake in front of you…. You’re excited coz you know its cake… with its color and flavor… your taste bud is already rejoicing because it already knew what will happen next when It enters your mouth… well nothing… just..YUM YUM YUM! … and then something happened inside your mouth while chewing your cake…mmmm….there are more bursting chocolates inside…underneath the cake is a thick layer of choco chips without you knowing it….that’s why I will remember eating that cake for the rest of my  life coz it gave me more than what I expected. So that’s how it is with this drama… my experience is something like that.

Le Grand Chef - Korean Movie Review

Genre: Drama, Comedy, Food

Main Cast:
Kim Kang-woo as Seong-chan
Lee Ha-na as Jin-su
Im Won-hee as Bong-ju
Kim Sang-ho as Woo
Jung Eun-Pyo as Hyo Sung
Jeong Jin as Duk-gi

Release: 2007

I was excited to see this movie coz I love watching food and cooking based dramas and movies and anime as well, so I really expected this to be a mouth-watering and really drooling and enjoyable and exciting one. So as expected, there’s the showcase of Korean dishes…Yummy! And of course in every cooking movies or dramas there’s the story behind it. How can I say it??... mmm…the story behind this movie, of how they ended up to cooking battle for the inheritance of the  cooking knife and to be acknowledged as the true heir of the last Korean royal chef of Joseon Dynasty… well the story is kinda lacking for me…I think it lacks justification.

Secretly Greatly - Korean Movie Review

Genre: Action, Comedy-Drama

Main Cast:
Kim Soo Hyun as Lieutenant Won Ryu-hwan / Bang Dong-gu
Park Ki-woong as Rhee Hae-rang / Kim Min-su
Lee Hyun-woo as Rhee Hae-jin

Release: 2013

I anticipated this movie to be a serious one.
I have no idea of how the story will go since I don’t read synopsis before watching… so I just assumed that it will be dramatic since Kim Soo Hyun is playing the lead role…so I prepared myself to a heroic melodramatic movie (based on the title).
Yeah… the start is serious…. Lieutenant Won Ryu-hwan (Kim Soo Hyun) is a top agent of North Korea sent so be a spy in South Korea….actually, there are others too who were sent to spy the South and to do missions coming from their leader to serve the purpose of their country. It was serious… then all of a sudden...the comedic scenes.

The Classic - Movie Review

Genre: Romance Melodrama
Main Cast:

Son Ye-jin in dual roles as Ji-hye and Joo-hee (Ji-hye's mother)
Jo Seung-woo as Joon-ha
Jo In-sung as Sang-min
Lee Ki-woo as Tae-soo (friend of Joon-ha)
Lee Soo-in as Soo-kyeong (friend of Ji-hye)
Seo Young-hee as Na-hee (friend of Joo-hee)
Im Ye-jin as Shopkeeper

 Release: 2003

This is love story which transcends the time, it can be described as the contrast of emotions of being happy and heartbroken , with being gloomy and hopeful. The story tells of love between Joo-Hee (Son Ye-Jin) and Joon-Ha that is not tragic in a way but rather a reality that not all love are meant to be fulfilled and how true love will find its way between the love of Ji-Hye (Son Ye-Jin) and Sang-Min (Jo In-Sung). It also teaches the value of true, loyal friendship and proved that true love is not selfish in the character of Tae-Soo (Lee Ki-Woo).

Save The Last Dance For Me - My Favorite Kdrama for All Time Series

Genre: Drama, Romance

Main Cast:
Eugene as Ji Eun-soo
Ji Sung as Kang Hyun-woo
Ryu Soo-young as Jung Tae-min
Lee Bo-young as Yoon Soo-jin

No of Episodes: 20
Release: 2004

I’ve seen this drama first time in the local tv airing here in my world. It was daily showing (night time) so its bit by bit with tons of commercials in between…you know…when you’re really into something you watch then the airing of commercials in between will eat the time of the show you’re watching and then you’ll realize ow the show for today is already  over …. Tsk tsk….its irritating and frustrating especially when you’re watching something as hooking as Saved the Last Dance for Me. Because Its really good…I remember the nights that I can't get to sleep coz I want to see already the next episode… but what can I do.. I need to wait for another day to continue…frustrating but I guess that added more excitement in my watching experience of this drama.

After finishing this drama in our local tv airing… I watched the complete episodes over and over again (online…thankfully… no commercials) maybe 4x or 5 … I cant remember… but this is really one of my favorite among favorites.

This started light and jaunty, I didn’t prepare myself for the heartbreaking moments. Although this is one of those Amnesia dramas ( kinda different coz its Double time amnesia)…but the amnesia part  didn’t steal me away but instead I became more focused since I have no Idea that this drama is all about that… when I got to that part.. I just thought to myself… ow! its that kind of drama… but I am already hooked…and my mind is going crazy of what will happen next… I was really super excited that I’m already creating my own version in my mind of what will happen….or maybe what I wanted to happen next… coz I was really affected of the story, specially the broken hearted-left alone-mourning  Eun-soo (Eugene) part... huhuhuhuhu

Great thing is that everything that had happened in this drama is also what I wanted it to be… hihihi… its like reading a love story pocket book. Hihihi.

The acting was really great…specially Eugene (Eun-soo).. those moments of missing and mourning… I really felt it… her crying moments…well, I cried with her.

The love story of Eun- soo (Eugene) and Hyun-woo (Ji Sung) is fun to watch in a way that its really fulfilling in my part as a viewer (the maker of this drama is really a giver)…. Their love  story is telling that Mind can forget but not the heart… that’s why Eun-soo always win… and I was really really happy… its like after the storm there’s the rainbow.

I also felt the love and longing from both the lead actors…they were so great…its like they’re really lovers in real life. My memorable sweetest moment from them was the lake moment and of course the confession moment of Hyun-woo (both confessions.. when he’s Chang-ho and when he’s Hyun-woo)… ayyyyyyyyyy…..Sweetness overload for this couple.

Its sad for both Tae-min (Ryu Soo-young) and Soo-jin ( Lee Bo-young)… they just loved.
Ah that part..I somehow hated Hyun-woo (Ji Sung) (just a little)…its unfair for the girl  who waited that long…even after the knowledge of death….  Soo-jin (Lee Bo-young) waited for him...but what can this world do???? No one wins over the heart……. (The best thing? Well, In real life Lee Bo-young and Ji Sung ended up together and is married couple now… life….)

The latter part of this drama was intensified by complications… it got more serious…and I’ve felt it and like ow what is going to happen?… so while watching I cant really conclude…. I’m just repeating to myself… oh pls… not a tragic ending…. not a tragic ending…….plssss…..

Well, I give this drama 5 ramen coz I was really entertained, I was hooked  and its like I lived with them in this drama…I felt their love and also the sadness. I’m satisfied and happy with the ending…. And I decided to re watch it because of this blog I kinda miss them.

I can’t remember how I end up watching this drama, maybe I got to this drama thru my eeny, meeny, miny, moe selection… hihihi,  coz I don’t really like reading anything about a drama or a movie before seeing it… I want to surprise myself all the time when it comes to watching online.. if the film is good or bad  I want to  be surprised and know for myself when I get there. So this one is one of those… I saw the thumbnail photo but I intentionally blurred my eyes to the cast lists and the synopsis (what I do most of the time). I just click it right away and had the idea that its a historical drama based on the thumbnail photo.  So, as I move along, episode per episode I recognize one by one the actors playing… they were from other dramas that I’ve watched before....recognizing them excites me to move along.

Before I have known about this drama I’ve already seen “Overboard” long long time ago… its an American old movie with Kurt Russel…. So what’s the connection? …. Well,,,while watching several episodes  of this drama... I started to suspect that there‘s a movie I’ve watched that has same story and plot with this…..so while watching, my brain is kinda itching and can’t focus coz I’m trying to figure out what movie is that….and then…. Boom! It’s the “Overboard” movie.. I remember!.. I was so happy that I remembered I wanted to award myself hahahaha.

This is a fairytale-like drama… Korean style.
This started really funny because of Yoon Eun-hye’s (Shin Chae-kyeong)high spirited character and with her loud family. She portrayed her role as a carefree high school student well and full of cuteness and fun.

Why Did I join this Blog? by Purple Shinobi

I'm a Kdrama (Korean Drama) neophyte so far I have only watched not more than 10 korean dramas/movies as of this writing but I like adventure more than anything else and I'm looking forward to watching more Kdramas and movies. What I like about korean dramas/movies is that they convey the culture, love, fashion, art, history of our korean friends the most colorful and creative way. Yes, they can't help it if they won't put color into everything they do or use (you will know that as you watch them). I appreciate that they put effort in making these dramas by giving us fresh takes on storylines, costumes, foods, fashion  and generously share to most (if not all) to most countries. With these reviews we hope to give you tips or guide in choosing the korean dramas that are worth watching for ( they are many trust me).....

I will pitch in from time to time with Pink Shinobi's drama reviews or have my own set of reviews, (two heads definitely are better one).

Why Did I start this Blog? by Pink Shinobi

I decided to start blogging to share my experiences with Korean Dramas and Movies that I have already watched.

Actually, I am not a die-hard fan of Kdramas or Kpop or anything that belongs to South Korea…I believe I can still live without them hihihi. But I can't deny the fact that Kdramas  brought a different kind of light in my life….its like eating your sunny side up egg everyday without knowing that hot sauce exists in this world and then one day you’ve discovered hot sauce and put it in your everyday fried egg….and BOOM!….now you know the difference. So… that’s how it is with Kdrama’s… i'm fine with the dramas and movies out here in my world but when I started seeing Kdrama… oooohhh there’s a lot of difference…  I’m fascinated with their stories.. how artful they made (most if not some) their dramas and films… the colors they use in their clothes….mmm…… the furnitures they use in their sets and of course the showcase of food whether street or  fine dining food… they make me drool and eat most of the time (smashing my diet right in front of my face). In short, I need to blog coz I am affected by it in so many ways. I hope this blog will be helpful to billions of breathing species of this world and that I will also learn more things about love, life, and relationships while doing this blog.

So without  further  Adieu….. Here are my KDRAMA OVERLOAD!
